I received this audiobook in an Early Reviewers giveaway on the Library Thing.

Superb storytelling along with excellent narration make this a must read (or listen to in this case) for any fan of epic fantasy. Joe Abercrombie has taken everything I enjoyed about the first novel in this series and extended it to a much larger story with several new characters that I absolutely loved!!! This entry in the story of the Shattered Sea revolves around two new main characters from Gedland, Thorn and Brand, who are just on the edge of adulthood and are both trying to find their places… as well as the intricate political backstory that was begun in Half a King. Lots of adventure, action and intrigue in this one!
5 stars for both a great story and a really fun read. Recommended for any fans of epic fantasy and of of course Joe Abercrombie fans.
